From new family:

Good Morning:

I adopted Pompi (now Percy) about 8 weeks ago. Unfortunately I don’t have an I Phone etc. so I am still trying to get someone to take his picture on a phone for e-mail.

Percy is settling in quite well. He sleeps well with me on my bed, and is getting use to actual dog food (Natural Balance). I work 3 days a week and he comes to work with me so he really is never alone for more than a couple hours if I have to go out. He doesn’t bark at all although he squeals when chasing leaves or bags blowing in the wind and does like to chase them but he doesn’t enjoy toys or balls of any kind so far.

He seems happy enough but it will take a little more time I think. He is still a little nervous of doors and some noises. He loves all the dogs in the building and has made serious friends with a little chihuahua cross and a couple of terrier/poodle mixes and a very large puppy of about 6 or so months. The big dog actually lies down so Percy can play with him. Very very cute.

I have a dog sitter in the building that comes to the apartment to sit with Percy if I go out for a longer time, and I have had her twice now and he really likes her.

I am driving to Halifax for Christmas and taking him with me. He has a booster seat for the car and I have booked all pet friendly hotels going down and back so I hope he does well. It is a big trip but my family loves dogs so he will be very welcome.
I hope this gives you a little idea of our life together to date. I am very happy with him. He is really a very lovely little dog with a very good nature and everyone in the building likes him. So, so far so good.
